We offer wraparound care at school between 8 am and 5 pm. Our school bus will pick up children from 7.30 am and drop off between 5.15pm and 5.30pm. Please see below for more information.

Breakfast Club

Our bus picks up children who come to breakfast club from home (in Keswick area) between 7.30 am and 7.45 am. Alternatively, children can join Breakfast Club when it starts at school at 8am. The session runs to 8.45am when the children join their classes. 

Children have the option of toast (with a number of delicious toppings) or cereal with fruit juice.

The sessions are run by Borrowdale School staff, thus ensuring that the children have a level of care that is consistent with the school's expectations and values. During this time, staff will supervise homework or reading and set out a range of toys/games which children can play with.

Booking and payments are done through the school office in advance. Prices are as follows:

Breakfast club children: £5 

(+minibus contribution)

After School Care

Our after school care is held between 3:15pm and 5pm after which there is an option for the children to be transported home (Keswick area).

As with Breakfast Club, the sessions are run by Borrowdale School staff, thus ensuring that the children have a level of care that is consistent with the school expectations and values. Staff run activities each day which children can choose to take part in, as well as supervising homework, reading, providing an afternoon snack and refreshments, and setting out a range of toys/games which children can play with.

Our desire is for children to have fun but also rest if they need to, and for parents to be reassured that their children are well supervised and enjoying their after school time. To this end, after school care is available for children from Nursery upwards, but the group may need to be split into groups of Nursery-Y2 and Y3-Y6 to cater for the differing needs of each age group.

The after school club will be run mainly in the central hall area of the school, but the children will also go outside (under supervision). Children are able to take part in clubs from 3-4 pm and then join the after school care. This is costed differently to ensure fairness to our families.

Booking and payments are done through the school office in advance. Prices are as follows:

After school care: £10 per child for a full session (3:15 pm-5pm) (+normal minibus contribution)

Please note:

• our wrap-around care is only available for pupils who attend Borrowdale School
• our wrap-around care is only available in term time
• availability may be limited (depending on staff availability)
• we operate on a first come first serve basis with priority given to those families requiring full time places, siblings, or those eligible for Pupil Premium Funding (Free School Meals/ Pupil Premium Grant)
