Children's Work

November 2023

This month we have been looking at toys from the past. We have read stories about toys, made our own puppet theatre and explored old toys by making our own. Working as a team we have built our own position focused obstacle course, explored numbers to 10 and increased our phonic knowledge.

October 2023

A busy month of exploring phonics, sounds and our senses. We have been on autumn senses walks, used fairy dough to make our 'f' sound and started reading sentences with our tricky words. We also explored all things pumpkins from drawing to cooking to scooping. We also changed our topic this term and visited a Toy Shop in Keswick for some inspiration for our own toy shop in our classroom.

September 2023

What a great start to the school year we have had! From making train tracks to fruit kebabs to making Auntie's Awful Soup (we added ships, sheep and sweets!) - we have had a lot of fun! We have been practising our cutting skills, taking turns and getting messy with our phonics sounds!
